I love the tones that you can get with just using black and white paint. Add that to the peacefulness of a bride on her special day and you have a wonderful scene for a painting. This is a 7x14 oil painting on stretched canvas.
This is just a a little update as to why you have not seen any posts from me for the past week. I do apologize to my followers, but do to this nasty little "bug" going around this year, I have been very busy taking care of my son and my husband. With little sleep and work, I have not been able to sit in front of my easel. I am looking forward to getting there in the next day or two! I miss my peaceful time of the day!!
I really think that the "Love of a Child" is the best. To hold their heart for a lifetime. It's also time for me to stretch outside my comfort zone of oil paints and try out the watercolors again. This is another ACEO (2.5 x 3.5) $2.00
I LOVE Christmas! I love the magic of the season! So painting one last Christmas item this year was so necessary! I decided at the last minute that I needed to add a touch of snow right on the top. I hope you like this as much as I.
My favorite flower is the sunflower. I decided that I wanted to paint what I saw when I see the flower. There are so many ways to paint. I love the freedom to do what I like and that there is no right or wrong in art.

"Blue Teapot" is an addition to my "Blue Dish" that I did previously. I mentioned that I love the vivid blue in these dishes. So, what better way to show my love of these dishes than to paint a series?!! Thought I would throw in some pansies too.
It's a new year!! Today is the official day that I begin painting EVERY day!! This was a fun "Blue Dish" that I did today. I like to stretch my mind and use very few colors. I love the brightness of the blue.
I thought I would have a little fun so I tried an abstract. I usually prefer to have a more realistic piece of art, but one should always think outside the box! This ACEO is a small bit of fun at 3.5" x 2.5".
